Use a plastic container that you get from the grocery store that holds strawberries and weave yarn through the openings. The opening aren’t even but that’s what makes it interesting. My grandson started to weave this basket but got tired so I finished it for him. Maybe using thicker yarn would have made it go faster. I just used a pipe cleaner for the handle.
The basket is holding a cute sock bunny that my daughter made.
How fun! What would it be like to use ribbon? Do you think that would go faster so grandchildren wouldn’t lose interest?
It is very cute!
Nina,
That is a great idea. I think it would go much faster and it is probably easier to hang onto.
This is very cute. Unfortunately, the strawberries in my supermarket now come in a clear plastic container. Too bad!
Cute craft idea for kids. Susan, I have used the clear plastic strawberry cartons for Easter baskets for my grands before. They look really cute because you can layer them and see all of the goodies through the carton. I made my own tag to cover the top and tied them with a bow. They turned out super cute. I’d much rather spend money on what’s inside rather than on the container!
