Read the poem below with your children then together you can make a blossoming tree using popcorn.
Directions:
1. On a piece of paper draw or paint the trunk and branches of a tree.
2. Now glue the popped corn on the branches for the blossoms.
You can color the popcorn using acrylic paint or powdered paint. If you use powdered paint don’t mix with water, just pour a small amount in a baggie, then put the popcorn in and shake.

Popcorn Popping written by Georgia W. Bello.
I looked out the window and what did I see?
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree!
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise,
Blossoms popping right before my eyes.
I could take an armful and make a treat,
A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet,
It wasn’t really so, but it seemed to be
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
