What a lovely idea, even now in my late 40′s I remember how exciting it was when “school’s out” happened and the long summer stretched tantalisingly before us! Now I’m a mum of school aged children though I appreciate it can be hard work keeping children entertained. This sounds perfect, Grandma Lizzie knows it’s an occasion to celebrate and the children go home with a little bag of ideas to ward off the cry of “I’m Bored!”

Ah! Such a great idea. Will definitely be doing this with my grandson. I love the “house” suggestion. Bubby will likely want to make a “garage” for his, too, just in case his pet rock has a truck of some sort.

What a great idea! I remember Pet Rocks from the 70s — I think it was the 70s?? This will make the perfect project for this weekend. We can start with a nice long walk in search of the perfect rock to turn into a pet! Thanks!
