Dorothy, thank you for your comment. I had an opportunity to visit the Gettysburg Battlefield many years ago and it was a sobering experience to think about the lives that were lost to preserve freedom.
Grandma Lizzie…the square you have drawn on the picture above is Edward Everett, not President Lincoln. Edward Everett was the president of Harvard College who was the main speaker at Gettysburg that day. President Lincoln is sitting down, left of Mr. Everett, looking down with no top hat on. Thought you’d like to know.
