Creating fairy gardens with your grandchildren can be a lot of fun. First we went to the nursery to get flowers. Each child had a budget. After returning home we planted the flowers and added painted wooden houses. We found other items around the house to add. We then wrote a poem together.
The Fairy Garden by J. & E. Wilson & E. Naccarato
We made a garden for fairies, Where they’ll surely want to tarry. Many flowers may grow, And the fairies will love them so. Of rainbow colors the garden is full, And the shade from the flowers keeps them cool. Houses for birds are hanging there, Fairies love the birds and give them care. The fairies have never been seen, But we know they keep the garden clean.
