Instead of throwing away your Christmas and holiday cards and leftover pieces of ribbon, recycle them into thank you notes and gift tags.
With your grandchildren you can cut out pictures from the cards and glue them on cardstock to be used like a postcard. Then send it as a thank you note. You can also make gift tags to save for next Christmas. There are many pictures on cards that can be used for tags all year ‘round.
Have done that before. Birthday cards turned out really pretty too.
Great idea! Glue and shears and Amara is happy for hours. She would love this! Thanks.
This is a fun activity with the grand kids. They all love to do this because it has quicker results than scrap booking.
Great tip! The grands and I used the pictures and the printed messages inside the old card to create new cards this year. Kids love scissors, paper, glue sticks, and making things for others!
I love the postcard idea. It’s unfortunate the number of cards sent is dwindling … although I’m part of the dwindle this year. But I love having the cards to do all the nifty things you write about.
